My trip is getting closer and people are starting to worry about me driving down Mexico alone. I am planning to to the same route you went (HUGE THANKS for the dog information, as my only traveling companion will be my dog Luna), and I was wondering ~ if you were a woman traveling along with a dog would you have any hesitation about driving this route?

I am loving your blog! Thank you!

Sheila, as a woman traveling alone, of course you will need to be mindful. That goes for traveling anywhere, even your own home town. This is a straightforward route that primarily comprises fast, federal toll roads. You shouldn’t have any problems. I’d make sure to follow basic precautions, like keeping plenty of gas in the tank and allowing ample time to reach your hotel before dark. You’ll do great!!!

Thanks for your kind words about the blog! 🙂
