Morélia in Photos—Day-of-the-Dead Altars & more

After an all-nighter at the cemeteries, we spent an easy day wandering around town and looking at the Day-of-the-Dead altars before joining friends for dinner. Come see!

Dead-of-the-Dead altars are all over town…this is just a tiny sampling. The attention and detail that goes into them is amazing. They’re really done with care.

You’ve met our friend, Rose. Now meet Jesús the photographer and Paméla the high-voltage Venezuelan singer. Paméla is freaking amazing and gave us an incredible concert at Rose’s place before dinner. She’s going to teach Scout guitar. Should I be afraid?!?

What’s that, Scout? Still hungry after a four-course dinner? What else is new.

And finally we are done. Goodnight!

I read about Day of the Dead, but it is really neat to see all your photos. Thanks Renee. (BTW – Scout is looking so grown up lately.)
